We accept children between the ages of 9 and 18 into our golf camps. Ability levels vary from beginner to expert. Interest level in the game varies from mild to intense.
A majority of campers come from the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions, but campers come from 45 states and 30 different countries.
The key to any quality golf school is the staff. The majority of our staff members return each summer - because they love the environment & teaching kids. US Golf Camps prides themselves on having some of the best junior golf instructors in the country. Our staff is made up of PGA/LPGA Professionals, College Coaches and players that not only have a great knowledge of the golf swing, but also enjoy teaching juniors.
Our instruction ratio is 3 to 1 in the Elite and Advanced Golf Programs, and 4 to 1 in our Fundamental Golf Program. Since all of our staff stay with the kids 24/7, our staff ratios stay the same in the evenings as well. The experience and availability of our staff will not only guarantee that each junior will learn a lot about golf, but more importantly have a great golf camp experience.
The food and the cafeteria far-exceed "camp" expectations. Look at our menu for a typical week’s meals. We even offer vegetarian and "special needs" meals.
Campers will live in newly remodeled, fully-furnished dormitories. There will be two campers per room. The dorms "family room" offers a number of fun activities, including table tennis, pool tables and board games. The dorms are supervised 24/7 by our staff.
Absolutely. You can only hit so many golf balls. Visit our Activities page to discover the additional fun & games at camp.
A number of different activities are available to the campers on the weekend, such as: additional golf, amusement parks, Pittsburgh Pirates baseball games, auto races, demolition derbies, festivals, and more. These activities vary depending on the weekend.
Our campers range from beginners to scratch golfers. The living arrangements are grouped by the camper’s age; while the instruction is grouped based on the camper’s ability level. We offer three levels of instruction (Fundamental, Advanced and Elite). Each program is customized to match the ability and experience of the campers.
Our golf program offers flexibility to accommodate campers at all levels. Each morning, campers receive 3 hours of instruction until lunchtime. They have the option in the afternoon of playing 9 or 18 holes (depending on grouping & ability) at a premier course in Western Pennsylvania. They can also choose to play the Kiski course on campus, that is available exclusively for our campers. Additionally, they can choose to participate in a number of non-golf activities, such as baseball, soccer, swimming, basketball, volleyball, etc. Click here to see a typical day at camp.
Yes, each camper will receive six US Golf Camps logo’d shirts (four golf polo shirts and two T-shirts) and a logo'd golf cap. Appropriate shorts or slacks are also required. The uniform fee is $195.
Of course. We have a complete pro shop on campus. Your child can even rent golf clubs!
We are staffed 24/7 with a certified trainer. Additionally, there is a nurse on campus and a dedicated nursing station. The local hospital is less than ten miles away. Specific medical concerns for your child will be discussed in the Parent Information Packet.
Parents are welcome to drop-off their child from 2-5 pm on the arrival day. On pickup day, there is an awards ceremony beginning at 1pm that parents are welcome to attend. Otherwise, pickup is anytime from 1:30-4pm.
There is no specific deadline. Certain sessions fill up very quickly, so apply early to ensure the desired session for your child.
