Camp Environment

Who are the campers? » Return to Top

We accept children between the ages of 9 and 18 into our golf camps. Ability levels vary from beginner to expert. Interest level in the game varies from mild to intense.

A majority of campers come from the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions, but campers come from 45 states and 30 different countries.

Who are the counselors? » Return to Top

The key to any quality golf school is the staff. The majority of our staff members return each summer – because they love the environment & teaching kids. US Golf Camps prides themselves on having some of the best junior golf instructors in the country. Our staff is made up of PGA/LPGA Professionals, College Coaches and players that not only have a great knowledge of the golf swing, but also enjoy teaching juniors.

Our instruction ratio is 3 to 1 in the Elite and Advanced Golf Programs, and 4 to 1 in our Fundamental Golf Program. Since all of our staff stay with the kids 24/7, our staff ratios stay the same in the evenings as well. The experience and availability of our staff will not only guarantee that each junior will learn a lot about golf, but more importantly have a great golf camp experience.

Program Information

Is the camp too advanced or too simple for my child? » Return to Top

Our campers range from beginners to scratch golfers. The living arrangements are grouped by the camper’s age; while the instruction is grouped based on the camper’s ability level. We offer three levels of instruction (Fundamental, Advanced and Elite). Each program is customized to match the ability and experience of the campers.

How much golf will my child be playing? » Return to Top

Our golf program offers flexibility to accommodate campers at all levels. Each morning, campers receive 3 hours of instruction until lunchtime. They have the option in the afternoon of playing 9 or 18 holes (depending on grouping & ability) at a premier course in Western Pennsylvania. They can also choose to play the Kiski course on campus, that is available exclusively for our campers. Additionally, they can choose to participate in a number of non-golf activities, such as baseball, soccer, swimming, basketball, volleyball, etc. Click here to see a typical day at camp.

COVID-19 Update

Our goal last summer was to provide a safe & fun environment for our campers.  By implementing additional operational guidelines & safety procedures, we were able to operate our camp without one positive Covid case.

Below are a few of the guidelines & safety procedures we implemented:

  • Our #1 Priority is the safety of campers, their families & our staff
  • We arranged for campers to have their own room
  • We lowered our camp capacity
  • Thankfully, golf is a lower risk outdoor activity
  • The instruction groups were smaller, making it easier to maintain social distancing
  • We are fortunate to have a private golf course on campus – only open to campers & staff
  • Nurse & Medical Center on campus
  • Staff was Covid-19 tested & trained
  • Campers were required to have a negative Covid-19 test prior to arrival
  • Daily wellness checks were conducted
